Aveillant’s new and unique technology platform changes what it is possible to achieve with a radar.
This new approach - Holographic Radar - differs fundamentally from both traditional mechanically scanned radars and from more advanced electronically scanned systems. Holographic Radar floodlights a volume of interest on transmit, and forms multiple simultaneous receive beams that fill the illuminated volume.
This approach means the radar “dwells” on every target within the field of view continuously, giving increased sensitivity compared to traditional radars. This means very small objects can be detected and tracked at long range.
Aveillant’s Gamekeeper 16U radar is designed specifically for the detection and tracking of small drones. It has been deployed operationally at sites around the world including in Monaco, Singapore, Paris Charles de Gaulle airport and also during the 2017 Paris Air Show at Le Bourget.
